About Plantation Shutters

Plantation Shutters have a movable louvre, simply angle it for privacy. There are a number of different options for Shutters.

Solid Panel Shutters

Window Shutters with Solid Panels are also available. Made from solid Wood, these can be painted or stained to enhance any look.

During the Day, the shutter panels fold back to uncover the window.

Ideally the door panels will fold back into a deep recess. Alternatively they can fold out onto the walls ajacent to the window.

Solid Panel Shutters are better for room darkening than Plantation Shutters as there are less areas where light can infiltrate.

Full Height Window Shutters

These fit to cover the whole window top to bottom. The addition of a Mid-break allows independant tilting of the top set of louvres from the bottom. This gives more flexability for regulating the light too.

Café Style Shutters

Sometimes referred to as half height window shuters these are fitted to cover only the bottom section of the window, leaving the top completely clear for maximum light/privacy.

Tier on Tier Shutters

Tier on Tier Shutters have a completely separate door at the top of the shutter to the bottom. This style gives the appearance of Café Style Shutters when the top doors are folded back, or Full height shutters when they are closed.

Tracked Shutters

Ideal for wide openings, tracked shutters run along a top track and a small, discreet bottom track.

Temporary Blinds Fitted

As part opf our Service we are happy to provide Temporary Blinds when required, whilst you are waiting for your Shutters to arrive. The simple Temporary Blinds will offer privacy and sun protection from remeasure to installation of your Shutters.
